Oxford Chamber Orchestra

Oxford Chamber Orchestra performs orchestral music spanning a very wide range of musical styles. Concerts have included baroque classics, the great classical symphonies and concertos, and modern works including premieres of music by Dr John Caldwell, Jacques Cohen and Francis Grier. OCO has also performed hugely popular concerts of film music and music for children.

OCO has collaborated with Christ Church Cathedral Choir, British Youth Opera, Pegasus Opera and Reading Festival Chorus, and has been very fortunate to perform with some outstanding solo artists, including Nigel Kennedy, Priya Mitchell, Patricia Rozario and Stephen Fry.

The members of OCO are a diverse group of undergraduates, graduate students and local amateur musicians. If you are interested in playing with OCO please contact either Julian Smith for strings or Dave Taylor for brass, or Owen Elton for woodwind.
